🌾 MATRILINEAL AMERICA — WHERE THE LINE RUNS THROUGH THE MAMA
Before colonizers forced father-line systems, our people here — Indigenous and African — followed the mother’s line:
Your clan, identity, and belonging came from your mama’s people.
Women chose leaders, held land, and decided direction.
Children were raised by the mother’s whole tribe — Aunties, grandmamas, cousins.
Spiritual power flowed through the women: midwives, water keepers, dreamers, healers.
Even after the system got attacked, the pattern stayed.

America still moves matrilineal:
Mama is the center.
Grandma is the elder.
Aunties are the council.
The family follows her rhythm.
This ain’t new — it’s ancient.
It’s our oldest American tradition, still beating in every household we build.
